On my most recent trip to China I have ascended on one of the Top Floors of the Jin Mao Tower in Shanghai which is located in the modern district of Pudong. With 88 floors and a height of 420,5 metres the Jin Mao Tower was China’s tallest building from 1998 till 2008 till the construction of the 492 meteres high Shanghai World Financial Center – today’s second tallest building of the Middle Kingdom – was finished. Between the 53rd and the 88th floor the Jin Mao Tower hosts the Grand Hyatt Hotel with the biggest Hotel Artrium of the World.
